The Council monitors its performance in order to comply with the following Strategic Objective:
‘To consult with and take due regard of all comments received from other statutory bodies, voluntary organisations and individuals, to ensure an improving standard of service that meets with local needs’.
Performance is assessed by collecting performance indicator data, which is analysed quarterly by the
Policy and Resources Committee. Each year, the council publishes an Annual Performance Plan, which provides an over-view for the year for each council service, plus indicators of our performance in each area. Data is given for the past two years for each indicator, measured against annual targets, plus a target for the forthcoming year. This enables you to judge whether our services are improving.
The document describes the major projects undertaken by the council in the previous year and outlines projects for the coming year. The plan also details the council's expenditure and explains what this means for your Council Tax.
