In December 2006, Chesham Town Council adopted an Environmental Policy, which can be downloaded here: Environmental Policy (PDF, 291 KB). The policy has two aims:
 
To improve the Council’s environmental performance.
To encourage green behaviour in residents and businesses across Chesham.
 
We’re working on both small and large projects to make improvements, from changing our drinking water supply from bottled water to tap water, to a major regeneration project on the River Chess. See the below topics to find out how we are greening the town:
