The town centre is bustling and vibrant on local produce days

Saturday 25th September - Market Square from 10 am
Saturday 23rd October - Market Square from 10 am
Saturday 27th November - Market Square from 10 am
A special Christmas Market will be held on Saturday 18th December, giving you the opportunity to buy some fabulous local treats for your Christmas table and stock up on some quality stocking fillers.

All year round our popular markets mean you can sample and buy fine quality food and drink from local producers. Produce on offer includes cheese, meat, fruit juice, vegetables, oil, plants, cakes, preserves and wine. It's a fantastic opportunity to try the local produce on your doorstep, at your convenience. See our list of regular stall holders.
The local produce markets are organised by the town council and Transition Town Chesham, to support local producers and to reduce the food miles consumed by Chesham's residents to help create a more sustainable community.
If you are a local producer and interested in attending our markets, please contact the town council on policy@chesham.gov.uk or phone 01494 774842. We also have a free stall at each market for Chesham-based community groups and charities - if you think your organisation would qualify, please do let us know.
General Market
Chesham was granted its market charter in 1257 by King Henry II and is a defining part of the town's heritage. The general market is now held twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays and can be found in the High Street from 9 am to 4 pm.
There are a variety of goods on offer, including meat, fish, fruit & veg, clothes, hot food, plants, phone accessories, cards, electronic goods, rugs, jewellery, birdfood and fabrics.
