Latest News
The Post Office in 81 High Street has been restocked and reconnected to the network and re-opened on Thursday 24th February. The intention is to provide a temporary measure until a permanent sub-postmaster is appointed.
Public Meetings
Councillor Fulford, called a public meeting about the Post Office at the Town Hall on Wednesday 20th January 2010. The minutes of the meeting can be downloaded here (PDF, 174 KB).
As representatives of Post Office Ltd. did not attend the meeting, a further public meeting took place on Monday 1st February 2010 at Trinity Baptist Church, Red Lion Street.

Petition
It was agreed at the meeting on the 20th January to set up a petition, copies of which were available to sign in several town centre premises. The petitions were given to the Post Office representatives at the February public meeting.
Facebook

Regulator
Postcomm is the Post Services Commission and advises the Government on the Post Office network. However, Postcomm does not regulate Post Offices or make decisions about individual Post Offices. See their web site for more information.
