Ashley Green 'Farms, Forts and Fighters' - Walk Six
The longest of the six walks produced by the Chesham Community Vision, this is a real walk through history. Exploring the hidden corners of Buckinghamshire on its border with Hertfordshire, the route takes you past historic farms, old pubs and a hill fort at Whelpley Hill. The walk also takes in Bovingdon airfield, where Clark Gable, James Stewart and William Holden were based during World War Two.
