Chesham's first Community Climate Café is taking place on Saturday 17th June and everyone is welcome to drop in. Organised by members of the community, including volunteers from Sustainable Chesham and Fairtrade Chesham, and supported by the Town Council, the café will run between 10.30am and 12.30pm at the Town Hall (HP5 1DS).
The idea is that you come in at any time and take a look at information we've pulled together, including top tips on environmental issues. Local people will be on hand to talk about how we can all become more sustainable and hopefully save money, too, on things like heating and water bills. But, we also want to hear what people would like cafés to be like in the future - what topics would you like to see discussed? What ideas would you like to share about making our community greener?
There will be free samples, displays by Sustainable Chesham, the Community Fridge, the Refill Project and Oxfam, and the chance to win a water butt! There will be a free cup of Fairtrade tea or coffee, and delicious Fairtrade cakes on sale at £1 per slice.
You'll be sure to receive a warm welcome, so do come down and get involved as much or as little as you would like.
