Annual Town Meeting Postponed
Above: An Annual Town Meeting in Progress
The Annual Town Meeting which was due to take place on the 21st May, has been postponed to later in the year. The date will be determined, once there is a clearer understanding of how and when lockdown will be eased.
The Annual Town Meeting is a celebratory affair, where the Mayoral Awards' winners are announced, and is usually attended by a large number of people. The meeting is also an opportunity to receive an update from Chesham Environmental Group on their activities over the last year. A representative from the Chesham Neighbourhood Policing team gives a review of policing in the town and is able to answer questions from the public. It's also a chance for any elector to ask councillors about any business relating to Chesham.
We will let you know about the new date as soon as it has been set.
The Annual Council meeting, at which the new is Mayor elected, will go ahead on the 18th May. This will be a virtual meeting held online, and members of the public will be able to join. Joining instructions will be posted on our Annual Council Meeting page in advance of the meeting.
