Chesham Town Council have commissioned a specialist memorial conservator to carry out cleaning and protective treatment works on the Broadway War Memorial, located in the Town Centre. The World War One memorial commemorates the 188 Chesham men who fell between 1914 and 1918.
The war memorial is maintained by Chesham Town Council. The Council have commissioned work that will slow the rate of weathering and deterioration of the memorial. The treatment of the memorial will be similar to that used on the Cenotaph in London. The work will commence this week and should be finished by middle of next week.
