Great Big Green Week is an opportunity each September to try out lifestyle changes that can help to tackle the climate and ecology crisis. Thanks to Sustainable Chesham, there are loads of things you can try out on Saturday 24th September to move towards a greener way of living.
Chesham Repair Cafe - 10am to 1pm in Lewin's Yard, off Market Square
Get fabrics, electricals, general IT, battery-powered devices, ceramics and bikes repaired by local experts.
Local Produce Market - 10am to 2pm, Market Square
Reduce the carbon footprint of your shopping and support local, small businesses by shopping at the market, which is organised in conjunction with the town council. Talk to growers, farmers and crafters, and buy food, drink, crafts, plants and cosmetics. Special guests include Cycle Tech UK who are bringing their bike repair equipment, electric bikes to view and a solar-powered generator. Kids' Swish - at Chesham Town Hall
A clothes swapping event, focusing on children's clothes and winter coats - bring last year's clothing and swap for a bigger size!
Drop off- 11.30- 12.30pm
Swish- 1.30- 3.30pm
Delivered in partnership with Edna and Jean, a local, sustainable, childrenswear brand.
