Chesham in Bloom - Blooming Successful!

In its first return to competition following the pandemic, Chesham was awarded an impressive Silver Gilt at the Thames & Chilterns in Bloom competition. The town council would like to congratulate all the volunteers who worked so hard to make the town look its best this summer.

The town was complimented on the many efforts that are being made to become more environmentally-friendly. The judges said, "Chesham positively buzzed; there were bees and insects everywhere."

The council is delighted that Lowndes Park was awarded a SIlver Gilt in its own right and was praised for the standard of maintenance of the formal lawns, and the habitat provided by the wilder meadow area at the top of the park. The new waterfall of wildflowers also impressed the judges.

The judges also said that, "The ongoing involvement of Chesham Town Council is crucial to the success of Chesham in Bloom." We're delighted to support this hard-working group of volunteers and we're already working with them on the 2023 entry!
