The town's Christmas lights are switched on during the Friday in November each year. Normally this is part of the Christmas in Chesham event organised by local voluntary group Chesham Connect. Unfortunately, Christmas in Chesham will not be taking place in 2021, due to the lack of time of to organise the event since restrictions eased, and the above average COVID infection rates in Chesham that make such a crowded event unwise. However, there will be an extended Local Produce Market on Saturday 27th November, running until 4pm. The Christmas lights will come on, and Father Christmas will make an appearance, along with performances by local choirs and festive goodies on sale at the stalls.
But you can follow the Christmas in Chesham Facebook page or follow them on Twitter: twitter.com/XmasInChesham or Instagram @ChristmasInChesham where the team will be highlighting what festive events are taking place in town.
