Local Produce Market

COVID-19 update: The Local Produce Market is operating every fourth Saturday. Not all of our regular traders will be back to trading on markets yet, but as of our April 2021 market, we're delighted to welcome back our arts and crafts producers. We understand that you may not feel comfortable attending the market yet and many of our producers will also be selling their produce by alternate methods, so you will still be able to purchase some of your favourites. Please see our regular stall holders to explore the different ways of getting your local produce.

We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment (PDF, 100 KB) to make sure that we are operating the market as safely as we can. If at all possible, we would encourage you to put in a phone or email order with our traders and then arrange to pick up your purchases from the stall. If the stalls have the facilities to do so, it's best if you can pay by card rather than cash. We would also encourage you to attend the market by yourself, rather than in a group if at all possible. It's important that we maintain social distancing, so please bear this in mind whilst you're browsing the stalls. Thank-you for your support!

The town's Local Produce Market runs on the fourth Saturday of every month and sells high quality food, drink and crafts from a c.25 mile radius of Chesham. You can find us in Market Square near the clock tower and the upper end of the High Street between 10am and 2pm. Our market is a fantastic opportunity to try the local produce on your doorstep, at your convenience, plus meet and talk to the people who make it!

We have a great range of produce on sale, including, eggs, cakes, home-made ready-meals, chocolate, honey, baked goods, meats, gin, beer, preserves and chilli sauces. And for crafts we have ceramics, cards, crochet and silver jewellery. We also have beautiful, ornamental plants and pot holders on sale. See our regular stall holders.
 2021 Calendar Dates

The local produce market is run by Chesham Town Council in partnership with Sustainable Chesham. The market was set up to support local producers and reduce the food miles consumed by Chesham's residents to help create a more sustainable community.

If you are a local producer and interested in attending our markets, please contact us, as we currently have a waiting list. You can call us on 01494 583798 or email policy@chesham.gov.uk. We also have a free stall at each market for Chesham-based community groups and charities - please get in touch if you think your organisation would qualify.

Follow us on Twitter, or you can find us on Facebook and we're also on Instagram, so you can keep up to date with the latest market news.
