With an accumulative age of over 300 years locked into this unique band, each member brings their own individual style to this truly exceptional unit which uses its wealth of experience to base its style on musical fun.
Based at the Sportsman Croxley Green (annex “The Shed”), the band has been together with some minor changes to its line up since early 2009. Their repertoire covers music across the era’s of the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s which has made them versatile and able to deliver music for formal events, parties, weddings and outdoor functions.
Introducing the Band:
Mike (fingers) - Their keyboard man. What a talent, versatile, and unique. Mike has, played, sung, and danced his way around the music business for many years. His agile fingers finding the right note to add colour to the ‘Shed Boys’ music.
Mick (bass) - Their left handed bass man has had a guitar since he was fourteen. His first guitar was an Eco 6 string acoustic. Mick can play a six string upside down better than most players are able to the right way up. Just like the very famous left handed violin bass player!
Chris (the beat) - Toured with his own band and played his way across Europe for many years. Chris adds his fast and furious attack to the mix. He taps out our rhythm in a great way. The heartbeat of the band
Mel (the master) - On Lead and rhythm guitar this guy is unbeatable, his vocals are good too. Mel has been in the music business for many years. His repertoire and achievements are like his growing collection of guitars vast and varied. Mel is their ‘any riff any time man.’
John B (mr. rhythm) - On guitar and vocals. John is the bands very own ‘jack of all trades, master of none’ because he plays a variety of guitars from electric and acoustic to Jazz Bass. Music is in his bones.
Dave (Frontman) - Mr. Sax , lead vocals, plays guitar and is the bands all round horn blower. Not only can he sing anything anywhere, he is a master of many instruments Dave also teaches and inspires many young players.
With all the styles and influences thrown into the pot and the fact that enjoyment is this bands greatest aim, they hope to get feet tapping, folks singing and offer a variety of music for an audience to enjoy listening and dancing to.
