
Chesham Town Council’s vision is “To improve the quality of life of all the residents of Chesham”. In order to deliver this vision, the Council has a set of Strategic Objectives. The Council works on projects to fulfill these objectives, and many of these projects are achieved through our work with partners.
The Town Council is made up of 19 Councillors, each elected for a term of four years and the next election is due to be May 2025. Each year, a Town Mayor is elected by the councillors at the Annual Council meeting. The town is divided into the following nine wards; Asheridge Vale; Hilltop; Lowndes; Newtown; Ridgeway; St Mary’s; Townsend; Vale; Waterside.
The procedures and business of the council are conducted according to the council’s Standing Orders. The council has adopted a members Code of Conduct.
The Council has a team of employed staff that deliver the day to day operation of the Council.
